HT #4:9-19

This has been the greatest thing that I have done yet. It has been such a pleasure to pray, encourage and do extra special things for the love of my life. I shared with him last night that this has been so easy because first of all he loves God with all of his heart, loves me and the girls, and is such a great husband. I wish I could have done more for him but sometimes just praying was a way to show my love. This is the way our lives should always be, loving others more than ourselves. This is what God intended for all of humanity. When we love God first and then others more than ourselves everything falls into place. I have a couple of days left, but I can assure you that this is one habitattoo that will last a lifetime. I am so in love with my honey and so BLESSED to have him as my life long partner. I know the best is still yet to come (that sounds hard to believe because our marriage is so awesome). I am in awe of what God has done in our relationship and humbled that he cares for us so much. I love you, Mike.

HT # 4: 1-8 Honey = Sweet!

It has been a wonderful 8 days. I have so enjoyed paying “extra” special attention to my honey. I do have to admit that this morning I was lazy and did not make him his pumpkin bread that I said I would. It will get it done this weekend. I have also been so tired during our devotions late at night that I need to do them in the living room or sitting up. Tireness gets the best of me!

The best part of this past week has been praying for Mike in all different kinds of areas. I have focused on asking God to bless him. I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful husband who cares for me and the girls and would do anything to make sure we are safe and well taken care of. Most of all he loves God with all his heart!

More next week….I have some planning to do….great stuff!!!

HT # 4 Honey = Sweet!

This next habitattoo is all about the love of my life, my honey! I am going to focus on this amazing person not only because he is my husband, but because he so deserves to be honored and loved.

I am so proud of all of his accomplishments and how he handles himself on a daily basis. He loves our girls and they truly know it. His love and passion for music set him apart from so many others when it comes to worshipping God. God’s presence is with him and he willingly gives many hours a week of practice to make sure that he honors God and leads others to that intimate place of worship. He rarely wants to take any credit, but God sees all and I know he is pleased with him. As a husband, he shows me how much he appreciates me and the best part recently is having devotions with me daily. We are close and there is no greater feeling to know you are loved. Mike shows me this all the time.

This habitattoo is my way of expressing my gratitude and a way to creating new habits that I want to do consistently for my husband. I want to make sure that he knows daily how much I love him. There are areas or things that I do sometimes that frustrate him and I want to make a conscious effort to change them. From cooking his favorite meal to giving him an encouraging word, are just a few of the things that I want to do forever. I will post once a week and give an update of a few of the things that I have done to honor my MAN!

Day 3:20 & 21

This is the last day of this habitattoo. I have to admit that it was one of the best things I have done. Here is the run down for Thursday and Friday:

On Thursday Kari and I had lunch together and discussed how she feels about her progress in volleyball. She also shared how she is doing in her classes. Tabby and I worked on Spanish and discussed weekend plans.

Today, Friday, I look forward to spending time with the girls in the afternoon and having some of their friends over for dinner and movies.

I have no idea what to do next. I am going to take a couple of days to think and pray about my next endeavor.

Day 3:17-3:19

Monday & Tuesday: I made sure that both girls received my undivided attention when they asked me questions and I also specifically prayed for their self-esteem and well being today.

Wednesday: KK and I had lunch together and Tabby and I talked on the phone this morning when she got to school. I have such sweet girls and love every minute I spend with them. I am truly blessed!!!

Day 3:12-3:16

I have been busy and will catch up today on five days of my habitattoo.

Wednesday: I had a great time having lunch alone with Kari. I really enjoy this time with her several times a week. This is a great perk teaching at the school she attends.

Thursday: I continue praying with the girls in the mornings and I love it when they come to me knowing that I will pray right before they leave for school. This is one of the greatest things I have reinstated again with my girls.

Friday: The girls and I went and had lunch at Moes with Mike. This is such a special treat for them. They love eating there. We later went shopping for Mike (an Easter shirt) and the girls tried on clothes. This was so much fun. Kari ended up getting a cute shirt (great deals at Khols!) Our most special time this Friday was watching The Passion of the Chirst that evening with the girls. There wasn’t a word spoken throughout the movie and after it was over Tabby had lots of questions for Mike and I. Kari was a bit quieter but said she really liked the movie.

Saturday: I spent this day with Tabby. It was nice to focus on her for the day. She had a tournament in Leesburg and the ride gave us lots of time to talk and listen to worship music together. She did great playing volleyball! We did have to call 911 to help a lost elderly lady in a Publix parking lot. Tabby posted on her facebook status that “God has perfect timing”. I love that she recognizes that God is the one who had us go to Publix to help this lady in her time of need (she had Alzheimer’s).

Sunday: Sunday was a great day celebrating Easter together. We had a great lunch. Tabby and I went for a 30 minute walk and had a good time talking and sharing with one another.

Day 3:10 & 3:11

Monday and Tuesday: Both of these days were typical days. We started the off with prayer in the morning, coffee and a good breakfast. Tabby shared with me what she is studying in Anatomy (which she loves!) and Kari has the “I want to drive itch”. We discussed how we would have a family movie night this Friday. We are going to watch the Passion of Christ for the first time together. Mike and I saw this when it came out in theaters, but our girls have not seen it yet. I am looking forward to this time together with the girls. It is a powerful movie that touched my heart. I know that Christ’s suffering for us will show the girls how much God loves them.

Day 3:8 & 3:9

Saturday: I spent the day watching Kari play volleyball in Avon Park. We had a great time together. She did great. The trip there and back gave us an opportunity to chat and pray together. It was also nice looking at pictures that Mike took of Tabby at her tournament and seeing how great she did. She lit up when we made comments of how high she jumped and how great her spiking/setting skills have gotten.

Sunday: We had a great day at church together. Tabby got to drive herself and Kari to Sunday School and then to her missions trip meeting. We prayed together in the morning and then spent the day relaxing and watching TV. Tabby did work on a paper and asked me to proof read it for her. I made sure that I took the time to give her feed back and talk about her project. She is so smart (later we laughed because she found out it is due April 15th instead of today). Last night, I could tell that Kari was getting a bit anxious about going back to school today (she said her tummy hurt) and I made sure to encourage her and let her know she would be fine.

*Doing this habitattoo has helped me become more aware of the time I spend with the girl (I want it to be quality time) and how blessed Mike and I are to have such bright, intelligent, and God fearing young women as our daughters. God is good!!!

Day 3:6 & 3:7

Thursday: We left to go see my sister in Vero to spend a day at the beach. It was so nice!! The girls and I prayed together and then had a wonderful day. Kari went for a bike ride while I did a little running and Tabby got lots of experience driving on HWY 60. She did a great job.

Friday: We returned home after spending some time at the mall, once again spending gift cards the girls have had since Christmas. Kari and I had a great time picking out a pair of jeans and Tabby a pair of pajama shorts. We prayed together in the car and then headed back home while it was raining. Tabby really got practice on the roads today in bad weather and it gave the three of us a chance to just chat on the way home. When we got home, Kari begged me to let her drive once we got inside our subdivision (she is seeing Tabby drive and is getting itchy to drive herself). I let her drive around the corner (just for a minute) and she did a great job. It was her first time ever behind the wheel. My girls are growing up!!

Day 3:3, 3:4 & 3:5

Monday: Both girls went their separate ways in the morning and we had a good time catching up in the afternoon going over everything they did. Kari was a little toasted from the sun in the areas she missed with sunscreen and Tabby was covered in black paint from working in our churches youth group. Both girls had a great time and then we spend the evening with a good girl friend and watched tv shows together. (I forgot to mention that I brought the girls some snacks from one of their favorite eating places- Moes…Tabby and Kari loved this treat and knew that I was thinking of them

Tuesday: Both girls started the day out with me going car browsing/shopping. We prayed together and had fun test driving different cars. Kari ended up staying with Mike for part of the afternoon and Tabby and I learned how many car sales men are like piranhas. We did end up getting Tabby an 09 Nissan Versa (black). It is such a cute car and Tabby is very appreciative for the car. Now I need prayer as I send her out alone in the car. It is a time for me to trust God and know that He will take care of her.

Wednesday: Today we went for a long ride to Lakeland and then to Lake Wales. Tabby is getting lots of driving in. We spent lots of time talking in the car together. Kari is so funny and both girls are never at a loss for words (yes, they are girls and girls love to talk). I am so glad they talk to me!!! :) Later in the day, Tabby and I had to go get a book she needs for one of her classes and she spend a gift card she had been saving since her birthday. I had fun watching her try on different clothes on and she loved having my undivided attention.
