Day 3:1 & 3:2
Saturday: I had a wonderful time taking both girls for an afternoon of shopping for bathing suits (this was our special thing this week). We prayed together and then went to Marshals and Target. We had a great discussion about our bodies and what God wants from us. I have such amazing daughters who want to please God and are so mature for their ages.
Sunday: Today we spent our morning at church. It was such a blessing sitting next to the girls and seeing them worship God during the music time. Once again, I am reminded of how blessed I am to have young ladies who seek God’s face and is evident how much they love Him. We had a great lunch out and then just chilled at the house. I am more aware of every time they talk to me and try to stop to take the time to give them my undivided attention. I look forward to praying with them tomorrow morning and then listening to how their day went (Kari is going to the beach with a friend and her family and Tabby will spend the day working in our youth room….I will be working with Mike tomorrow….hope is not a slave driver…naww he is too sweet for that

Habit #3 My daughters
I have been praying about this next habitattoo and thinking about the premises for it. I think I have come up with a plan. For the next 21 days I will focus on two beautiful young ladies, my daughters. I want to give them my undivided attention at least once a day. Sometimes in the business of the day, I help with homework or talk with them as I cook or clean (all the house hold stuff). I want to stop and really sit with them, listen and talk. I am not going to set a certain amount of time, because this may vary from day to day. I also want to pray with them every day in the mornings (I miss this so much since we don’t ride to school together any more). And finally I want to take the girls alone, once a week to go do something special with them. This can include going for a walk, dinner, or just hanging out doing something they love to do.
I know that it is so difficult for teenagers in general to have good self-esteem in the society that we live in (I see it every day) and to feel accepted. I want to invest my time and energy focusing on my wonderful girls. I want to talk more with them and really hear their hearts. I know that they will be gone soon off to college and then marriage. I want them to know that I will always be here as a mom, friend, and prayer partner. I am really excited to do this habitattoo.
By the way…..I will also continue to focus on my wonderful husband. I love spending time with him!!!!

Day 2:21
On this last day of my habitattoo, I went to play softball for an hour and a half with students from our youthgroup (heartgroups) and had a lot of fun. I did not feel like I got a big work out but it sure was fun and I did move around a lot. I will be running lots today. I am so happy to make it a life long commitment to working out on a daily basis. I feel so much better!
Now off to pray and think about my next endeavour.

2:19 & 2:20
Friday: I am sad to admit that I did not get to work out on Friday. After school, I had to go pick up a few birthday presents (about 5) for family and friends. I came straight home to see Pat, Louis, and Emily and then went back out to finish the few gifts that I was not able to get in such a short amount of time. I finally got home, changed quickly and went to Grandpa’s and Deedee’s birthday party. I stayed late to help clean everything up so that Dorothy did not have to worry about any cleaning up on her birthday and we arrive home about 12:30AM. I guess doing dishes and putting stuff away does not count as a cardio work out. I will make this workout up this coming week…I promise!
Saturday: Saturday was another busy day of cleaning, visiting with my mom, and going to our very first church service in our new facility. The service was great and the music sounded amazing. Mike has such a special gift from God to lead His people into worship. At around 9PM, I did 30 minutes of what I would call strength training, legs, abs, and arms. It was a nice work out and I felt it this morning.
I am still drinking lots of water except for Friday. I could tell that I did not drink enough when I got a leg cramp in the middle of the night for the first time in weeks.

Day 2: 18
I was not feeling very well yesterday so I took a little afternoon nap. This did wonders! I was able to take Kari and her friend to volleyball practice, cook dinner, and then go for a 3 mile run (which only took me 26 minutes…I ran unusually fast last night). Mike was sweet enough to do the grocery shopping (he is so good at this and using coupons to save us money), take Taby to her practice and then stay there with the girls and bring them home around 9PM. We all had dinner and then went to bed! It was a good exercise day. By the way, I must be really drinking enough water because I have not had any leg cramps in weeks. Hurray!!

Day 2:17
I got home a bit early yesterday and went straight to the gym for a change. I used the cardio movie room and worked out for about 50 minutes (almost 5 miles and 500 calories). It was a good workout day!
Water continues to be my drink of preference, making it easy to drink atleast 8 glasses or more a day.

Day 2:16
I am still feeling a bit under the weather so instead of going jogging, I opted to go for a brisk hour walk. Taby came along with me for the first part of the walk so that we could spend time together. I really enjoy talking with her (and Kari) any chance I get. We decided to take Roxy and Chase for a walk since they were outside of their home sitting on the lawn. That was a big mistake! We had been walking for about 10 minutes, when Chase spotted another dog running lose in our neighborhood. He went crazy, barking, yelping, and pulling trying to get to what he thought was an intruder in his turf. Taby could hardly hold him back and Roxy began to whine and also yelp at the top of her lungs. Neighbors came out of their homes to see what the commotion was all about. We ended up taking them both home and then continued walking in peace and quiet. It is always an adventure when we take the labs for a walk. I think I am taking Ellie (bull dog) next time. She is much calmer, except she has a severe licking problem!

Day 2:15
It was really hard to motivate myself to go work out yesterday. I had a really bad sore throat and also spent a couple of hours with my younger sister and nephews visiting and going out to dinner. Instead, I opted to do 30 minutes of abs, legs and arms reps with light weights. This was really good to do and also spiced up my work out. I really did not feel like going for a run and it was late!

Day 2:12, 2:13, & 2:14
Friday: On Friday we left for Orlando to spend the weekend due to Taby’s volleyball tournament. We got to the hotel around 6PM and then left for dinner. After returning back to our room I realized I still needed to work out, so I went down to the gym and walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill and then used the stationary bike for another 30 minutes. I did not mind doing exercise since they had great TV’s on each machine and ended up watching the TLC channel…..some kind of bridezilla show. I actually lost track of time until I heard my cell phone ringing. Mike was wondering if I was going to come back to the room.
Saturday: After a long day of great volleyball (Taby’s team was undefeated all day), we returned to our room around 9PM. Once again I realized I had not done any exercise during the day. This was the hardest day for me so far. When we go out of town, it feels like a mini vacation and exercise was the last thing on my mind. I did not want to miss a day of my habitattoo, so I went down stairs to the work out room (without having any dinner yet) and ran for 3 miles. I came back to the room and devoured some pizza my family left for me.
Sunday: I am going to go ahead and post for today since I already worked out. After returning home from the volleyball tournament (by the way, Taby’s team won the whole thing….CHAMPIONS), we unpacked and then I went for another 3 mile jog. I did not feel very well and it was hard running tonight for some reason. I am glad I am done!
Water intake…..GOOD! :)

Day 2:11
After dropping Taby off at volleyball, I ran 3 miles at the PCC track. It was so beautiful outside and it served as a great time to pray as I ran. So far, so good with this habitattoo. I am a little sore, not sure why. I guess I am getting old and different body parts start to hurt at different times.
Pat, the other day when you responded to one of my posts, I was so amazed to hear that you used to jog 5 miles every day. I never knew that about you. What made you stop? It is so addicting to me, although there are days that I don’t want to run, but after doing it, I am so happy and glad I did go jogging!
